Eco Windows FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions – Steel Systems

EcoSteel windows and doors meet current thermal performance regulations thanks to modern glazing technologies. This means that your doors will keep you cool in summer and warm in winter.

Our specification of internal steel doors have been tested to withstand 30min of fire. Currently the options available are for single doors, double doors and fixed partitions.

Thanks to new technologies EcoSteel windows and doors have now anti-corrosive properties. The frames are galvanized, which results in a protective zinc coating on the frames.

All our external steel windows/doors are glazed using toughened glass. As standard our doors are fitted with security locks and shoot bolts to ensure your safety.

All depends on from place of use. Our steel windows can be single, double or even triple glazed. Our steel profiles can accommodate glazed units up to 30mm thick. Resulting in high energy efficient windows and doors.

A thermal break, also known as a thermally broken insulator, is a high-performance insulator that connects the internal and external facing sides of a window or door. This insulator acts as a barrier, preventing cool, outside temperatures from entering your home.

Steel windows, that are over 80 years old, are still in use today. EcoSteel windows manufactured today will most likely outlast the structure into which they are installed due to advanced engineering and fabrication techniques.
