MULTIPLE PANES
Two panes of glass, with an air-or gas-filled space in the middle, insulate much better than a single pane of glass. We even make windows that include three or more panes for even greater energy-efficiency, increased impact resistance, and sound insulation.
WARM EDGE SPACERS
A spacer keeps a window’s glass panes the correct distance apart. Non-metallic and metal/non-metal hybrid spacers also insulate pane edges, reducing heat transfer through the window.
QUALITY FRAME MATERIALS
Eco Windows provides a choice uPVC or Aluminum passive systems, all durable, low-maintenance framing materials that reduce heat transfer and provide for better insulation. Our Non passive systems also include wood profiles.
GAS FILLS
Our Passive House windows have argon, krypton, or other gases between the panes. These odorless, colorless, non-toxic gases insulate better than regular air.
LOW-E GLASS
Special coatings reflect infrared light, keeping heat inside in winter and outside in summer. They also reflect damaging ultraviolet light, which helps protect interior furnishings from fading.
THERMAL BREAK INSULATION
Many of our window models include insulation within the frame to increase energy efficiency.
THE PASSIVE HOUSE ADVANTAGE
Eco Windows’ passive house systems undergo rigorous independent testing at accredited laboratories like ift Rosenheim. This certification process verifies that windows meet exacting thermal performance standards. Certified passive house windows enable architects and builders to design homes and buildings that require minimal mechanical heating and cooling, reducing energy consumption by 85-90% compared to conventional buildings.
The difference between ordinary windows and Eco Windows passive house windows lies in the integration of multiple advanced technologies working together. Multiple panes reduce direct heat transfer. Warm edge spacers prevent edge losses. Specialized frame materials and thermal breaks minimize conductive heat flow. Gas fills and Low-E coatings control radiant energy transfer. The result is a complete window system that performs at the highest level, enabling net-zero energy building design while providing superior comfort, durability, and long-term value. Whether you’re pursuing passive house certification or simply want the best-performing windows available, Eco Windows delivers the technology and craftsmanship that transforms building performance.
